The purpose of an aerial scattering of ashes is to create a memorial to your loved one. It also allows certain moments and images in our daily lives to conjure up memories of that special person. Hearing the sound of the crashing waves while walking on the beach, or watching the sun rise up over the ocean, we are reminded that our dearly departed is always nearby.
Aerial scattering offers closure in a dignified manner. It is an honorable selection when exploring available options for finding a final resting place. Discussing this decision with your family members is extremely important.
Can I ride along in the airplane?
Regulations allow for only required crewmembers to be present in the airplane during flight operations.
Where can you scatter cremated remains?
We scatter cremated remains 3 miles from the Jacksonville Beach pier. Florida laws also allow scattering over private property with permission from the landowner. Public lands, such as State and National parks, require permits. Scattering over Florida’s fresh waters is prohibited.
Can I schedule a time to view the release from the ground?
Yes, however this is in addition to our scattering services. Prices for a scheduled scattering vary based on location, date, and time.
How will I know the scattering has occurred?
You will be mailed a certificate that confirms the date, time, and exact location. At your request, we can also call or email you to confirm the scattering.
How will you receive the cremated remains?
Your funeral director will deliver the cremated remains to us. If you are in the possession of the cremated remains, you may personally deliver your urn to us or send it via U.S. Post Office Registered Mail. FedEx and UPS will not accept cremated remains.
It is our promise that we will treat you and your loved one with dignity and respect. We will treat your loved one’s cremated remains as if they were a member of our own family. You can trust that we will carefully and compassionately carry out your scattering with all the honor that you and your loved one deserve.
If you would like to add a momentous touch to your aerial scattering or any other ceremony, we can arrange to have a banner towed behind one of our specialized airplanes. It is a festive compliment to any celebration, as well as a means to profess your loved one’s legacy to others.
